2026 JFK Scholarship & Joe Moakley Internship

Applications are now live!

The Massachusetts Democratic Party is accepting applications for the 2026 JFK Scholarship & Joe Moakley Internship Program. We offer paid, part-time internship opportunities and scholarships for Massachusetts students and recent graduates committed to public service and Democratic values.

Eligible applicants must be Massachusetts residents who are currently enrolled in a college or post-secondary program or who will graduate in 2025.

In 2026, MassDems will host two internship cohorts:

• Winter Cohort: January 19 – March 31

• Spring Cohort: April 6 – June 30
  Dates are preferred but flexible.

Interns will average ~20 hours per week in a part-time, in-person program based in Boston, with hybrid options available for students across the Commonwealth. Both cohorts will play a major role in preparing for and supporting the 2026 MassDems State Convention.

Scholarship recipients will be recognized for their leadership, activism, and commitment to Democratic values.

Applications are due December 19, 2025 at 11:59 PM ET (no exceptions).

We’ve launched a resume bank so that individuals looking to work on Democratic campaigns and for Democratic organizations and leaders have a place to upload their resumes. Anyone interested in submitting their resumes may do so here. 

Democratic campaigns may request access to view the resumes by emailing our Operations Manager, Tyler Carruth, at [email protected]

We will not remove resumes unless the individual requests so and campaigns will contact potential applicants through the contact information listed in their resume. We will share the resumes with any Democratic campaign that requests access.
