Massachusetts Democratic Party
Currently serving as Chairman of the Massachusetts Democratic Party, Gus Bickford has a long history of working in Massachusetts Democratic politics. Specializing in Survey Research and Database Targeting, he is the Principal of Factotum Productions, Inc. He has administered voter contact programs for the Democratic Parties of Connecticut, Florida, Maine, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and for the Presidential Campaigns of John Kerry ’04, Barack Obama ’08 and ‘12 and Hillary Clinton in ’08. Most recently, he managed the modeling and voter contact for the Massachusetts NoOn2 Campaign. Gus also served as Political Director for Martha Coakley’s US Senate Campaign and Niki Tsongas’ Congressional Campaign as well as developed and managed the targeting for Elizabeth Warren’s ’12 US Senate Race. With 22 years of expertise with large databases and refining the information they provide, Gus worked on the team that created the National Voter File (VoteBuilder) for the Democratic National Committee. Prior to founding Factotum Productions, Gus served as a Vice President and Director of Systems Integration for Predictive Networks and for 5 years as Executive Director of the Massachusetts Democratic Party. Gus is a graduate of Brown University with a degree in Organizational Behavior.
Veronica will join the party as Executive Director in February, 2017. Having previously served as an aide to CNN Senior Political Analyst David Gergen and former Governor Deval Patrick, Veronica enjoys a strong logistical, operational and production-based skillset. Additionally, Veronica has accrued experience on a number of campaigns including those of Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Ed Markey and Congressman John Spratt of South Carolina. Veronica has also engaged in organizing efforts for EMILY’s List and the Progressive States Network, among others. A South Carolina native, Veronica came to Massachusetts by way of Wellesley College and now calls Cambridge home.
Emily will join the Massachusetts Democratic Party as Communications Director in February, 2017. Emily previously worked on the Save Our Public Schools campaign against the Question 2 Charter School ballot question and on the Hillary for America campaign. In the past, Emily served in the Patrick Administration as Communications Director for the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development and as Communications Director for Senate Ways and Means Chairwoman Karen Spilka (D-Ashland). Born and raised in Massachusetts, Emily grew up in Norwell and currently resides in Arlington.
