Congratulations to the kids of the Washington D.C. Chapter!  They opened the 2005 National Convention of the College Democrats of America in July by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance!
In June 2005, at the DNC Headquarters in Washington D.C., Kids for Democracy leaders met with Congressman Kendrick Meek (D-FL).  Congressman Meek is the leader for a group of U.S. Representatives called 'The 30 Something' group.  They're the youngest Congressmen and Congresswomen currently serving in Washington, D.C. and they pay special attention to issues affecting young Americans.

Then they got to meet Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) and hear her Opening Address to the college students.

The kids had a great time and would like to thank the College Democrats for inviting them!  Thanks especially to CDA National President Mr. Grant Woodard and to CDA Executive Director Ms. LaToia Jones!
Kids for Democracy Co-Coordinator Ms. Andrea Lyman practices with the kids before the event!  Then, with the College Delegates in the hall, the kids hit their mark!
