We've got some really exciting things planned for the year! So check back in August to see what we've accomplished over the summer and what's coming up in the fall. You can also email us at info@kidsfordemocracy.org.
In the meantime, here's some of the things we've done so far in 2005!
We also met Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) at the Ella J. Baker House Awards Dinner in January! She spoke on 'Youth and Politics!'
We were invited to Senator John Kerry's 'Thank-you Massachusetts!' event in February!
We collected quarters and dollars for the Unicef & Clinton Foundation's Tsunami Relief Effort in January!
We got to celebrate Senator Ted Kennedy's Birthday at a Dinner in March, and we also met Congressman John Tierney there!
We testified in March on youth issues at a 2005 Platform Hearing for the Massachusetts Democratic Party!
At the Democratic Committee's Activist Day, we told the County and Town Chairs and other activists about our group -- they gave us a standing ovation!
We helped Congressman Marty Meehan (D-MA) at an event in April!
We stood with Senator Kerry on Earth Day in April, as he spoke for
better protection of our waterways.
We went to the Massachusetts Democratic State Convention in May!
We had our own booth and collected signatures for Sen. Kerry's Kids First bill.
Now we want to help put a Democrat in the Governor's office! We'll help the Massachusetts State Party with its Victory 2006 campaign!
Check back later this summer for more details and to learn about the candidates!
In June, we helped welcome DNC Chairman Governor Howard Dean to Boston! And we met again with Massachusetts Democratic Party Chairman Mr. Phil Johnston.
Our sister chapters of Kids for Democracy in New Hampshire and Washington D.C. have done lots of things too! Check them out on their webpages!
