Members of Kids for Democracy have helped the hurricane relief efforts too!

In September, we Kids for Democracy in Massachusetts collected money for the American Red Cross.  We asked people at our soccer games, local grocery markets, and a Boston tour site if they wanted to help the hurricane survivors.  A lot of people did!  We raised over $1,500!

The Report from New Hampshire...!

We Kids for Democracy in the Granite State raised money for the Hurricane Relief effort by selling lemonade, muffins, and even hand-sewn fleece hats!  In the photo, one of our Kids for Democracy tells her local Rotary Club about her fleece hats designs while a friend models the hats!
And from Kids for Democracy around our country...!

The Kids for Democracy Webteam has gotten lots of emails from our members.  They've been helping with hurricane relief efforts in their schools, churches, and community groups too!  Some of their favorite projects have been collecting packpacks for kids, donating clothing, and sending truckloads of textbooks and children's books to the kids and families affected by the hurricanes.  Members of Kids for Democracy and their families in Nebraska have even been collecting good-conditioned mattresses for relocated families in their state!
Congratulations on all your efforts, kids!

To help us raise money, we raffled off a
watercolor print by Chelmsford, MA native artist
P.J. Szufnarowski.  The print showed a family of ducklings making their way through the Boston Gardens.
We want to thank all our neighbors and friends
for helping us with our collections!
