The Massachusetts Democratic Party’s 2026 Nominating Convention will be held in the City of Worcester at the DCU Center on Friday and Saturday, May 29th and 30th.
Additional details about the schedule and logistics will be shared in the coming months. Please expect this to be a two-day program.

Caucus Window
Local caucuses may be held no earlier than Thursday, February 19, 2026, and no later than Sunday, March 22, 2026.
Weekend caucuses may begin no earlier than 9:00 AM.
Weekday caucuses may begin no earlier than 5:00 PM.
For 2026, the Party is encouraging towns and wards to hold in-person caucuses.
Deadline to Call Your Caucus
All caucus calls must be submitted by Thursday, February 12th, at 5:00 PM.

Submission of Caucus Results
Each local caucus must submit complete caucus results to the Massachusetts Democratic Party within seven days of the caucus, and no later than Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
City Chair Note: If your city wards are holding one caucus together, please email Adam Roof at [email protected] to request a waiver to do so. Be sure to cc all ward chairs in the request.

2026 MassDems Delegate and Alternate Questionnaire
Delegates (including any ex officio delegates in attendance) and alternates may complete their certification form in its entirety. The demographic information requested on this form helps the state party ensure our delegation represents the diversity of the Commonwealth. Additionally, delegates and alternates who complete their certification form will begin receiving email updates from the state party as soon as possible.
Delegates and alternates both pay a $85 fee to take part in the Convention, which helps the state party defray the substantial cost. The deadline to complete the registration fee is May 1, 2026, after which payments will be subject to a $20 late fee. A reduced fee of $65 is available for youth (16-25), seniors (age 65 and up), and persons with disabilities.
2026 Convention Fee Waiver Form
If attending the convention presents a financial hardship, delegates and alternates may apply for a partial or full fee waiver. Party staff will communicate directly with those who request waivers and respect the privacy of those seeking assistance.
The state party strives to ensure delegate representation that reflects the whole community, and has a number of add-on delegate seats, chosen by the Democratic State Committee, in the following categories: Disabled, Underrepresented Racial and Ethnic Groups, Veteran, Youth (16 to 35 years old), and LGBTQ+. Add-on applications are due to the state party by 5:00 PM on March 27, 2026, and will be chosen by the Democratic State Committee at their Spring 2026 DSC meeting in April.
