Scott Brown’s Top Five ‘Etch A Sketch’ Moments
Scott Brown has had more than a few Etch A Sketch moments. Here are the top five.
Scott Brown’s Top Five Etch A Sketch Moments
2. “One of Wall Street’s favorite Senators” brags about Wall Street reform - Scott Brown boasts about voting for Wall Street reform. The fact is, Brown took the reform bill hostage and used his swing vote to extract concessions helping Wall Street and big banks. Wall Street money is still pouring into Brown’s campaign coffers.
3. Tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires instead of jobs for Massachusetts - With voters focused on keeping our economy growing, Scott Brown may end up wearing out his Etch A Sketch trying to wipe away his record of voting against Massachusetts jobs. Scott Brown voted against three jobs bills which would have created more than 22,000 good jobs in the Commonwealth – all to avoid raising taxes on millionaires and billionaires.
4. LGBT rights - Last year, Scott Brown shook his Etch A Sketch and announced he would vote to repeal the ban on gays and lesbians serving in the military as soon as it was clear the repeal would pass without his support. Scott Brown is hoping to erase his long, long history of opposition to lesbian and gay rights, including his refusal to participate in the Massachusetts Congressional delegation’s contribution to the ‘It Gets Better Project,’ an initiative aimed at stopping suicide among LGBT teens.
5. Ending Medicare with the Ryan Budget - Last year, when he thought no one was looking, Brown told a group of business leaders that he would vote for Ryan’s extreme plan to end Medicare as we know it. He even said “thank God” for the Ryan budget. When Brown’s support for the Ryan budget caused an uproar, he grabbed his Etch A Sketch and voted against it.
